windows storage server 2003 - slowly and network is crashing

hello,

i'm working in a radio fm, it's working with a novell netware server
(msdos). It's sharing 4 folders for windows stations (98 & Me - our
automation software doesn't work with xp). Our soft needs files to
broadcast music.

I installed windows storage server 2003 r2 (dell Pe2900 Xeon 2.9 - 3 hd
73Go SAS 10.000 (raid5), 1Go Ram) where i've done a copy from old to new
server (novell -> windows). I don't have authentication or other rights,
all is open (ANONYMOUS LOGON). I simply want a NAS.

But when several stations are running (et the same time), our automation
software freeze (micro-seconds) et broadcast is not very fluid and
finally, it crashs (broadcast & network).

Did you have an idea ?

I changed the switch, i only plug 2 stations and this Windows server,
but when stations works at the same time, problem is the same...

Can you see what's append ?

Windows Storage Server can be used on a radio ?
