windows socket failure - still having trouble

last week, someone was very kind to suggest running the file checker program
(sfc) to try to resolve the windows socket failure message I've been getting
since one of my two computer was overcome with spyware recently.

Google for lspfix.exe and for winsockxpfix.exe. Run both.
