Yes and No. You can share folders with Mac users using
TCP/IP or AppleTalk, but without third party software you
cannot connect to Mac computers via AppleTalk. Following
are instructions for installing File Services for Mac.
Windows Server has Services for Macintosh, both Print
Services and File Services. Goto control panel, add or
remove programs. On that window, click "Add/Remove
Windows Components." When that new window comes up,
scroll down to "Other Network File and Print Services",
click once to highlight, and click "Details." Check "File
Services for Macintosh." Click ok. Click next to install.
After that is complete, you need to make a share that is
Mac accesible. You cannot make an existing share Mac
accessible. You need a new share or unshare an existing
share then reshare it. Here are the steps: Right
click "My Computer" on your desktop, and click "Manage"
or goto "Administrative Tools" and click "Computer
Management." Click "Shared Folders" Click "Shares" On
file menu, click "New Share" or right click and
choose "new Share" You then have the option to share to
pc, to macs, or to both. Let me know if you have any
questions.
