windows server 2003 restarting(rpc terminating)

hi guys
my windows server 2003 keeps on restarting thrice a day due to rpc service
terminating.
rpc service terminates with the event id of 7031.
the server has never been updated. was working fine all these years
suddenly this problem has turned up. possibility of a virus attack?
blast virus? but I cudnt find the mblast.exe in the system32 folder as well
as in the processes.
pls help
