Windows Password in AD

After I set some machines with Win98 to work in an AD environment, the boot
requires two passwords. The first, the network password, and the second, the
Win Logon password. How disable this second password? The simple deletation
of user password don't work in this case.

I would delete all the .pwl files so that you are starting from scratch,
then set the primary login to windows networking, this is done via the
network properties.
