hello,

I'd like to connect a linux box instead a win95 box to a network. The
network is somewhat particulare, since it needs an authentification:
When I start the win95, prior to load the desktop, win95 asks me for my
user-id, my network-pwd and a "domain". Then it loads the desktop. To get
access to the internet, the browser (IE) needs a proxy. In fact, the proxy
seems to verify the user-authentification. If I do not give the password
and I close the the dialog, win95 desktop also loads, but no network
services are available.

I have tried to connect a linux-box to this network. When I just indicate
the proxy to konquror, the server answers "network authentification
failed".

How can I connect an linux-box to this network, knowing id, pwd, "domain"
etc? Is there a simple solution for this - I belive - standard network
identification?

Thanks for your help
