I've just installed Leopard and my network seems to have gotten messed
up, mainly on the Windows side.

I have 2 machines, 1 mac, 1 pc. Both have wireless and are connected
to a router(192.168.1.1) where they access the internet.

As well as this they are connected directly to each other via ethernet
so I can transfer files at ethernet speed. The router is way over in
another room.

I have it set up so that the mac:

Wireless: 192.168.1.10
Ethernet: 192.168.2.10

Pc:

Wireless: 192.168.1.2
Ethernet: 192.168.2.2

The problem seems to be the PC can't put ethernet before wireless,
instead it always uses the wireless network unless I manually enter
the IP address. For example, when adding a network place, it will find
all my network shares on the mac, but they are all from the wireless
network. Not the ethernet network which I want.

Also, even when I disable wireless on the PC. Some applications that
ask for a server name such as 'my mac' don't work unless I enter
'192.168.2.10' which isn't very intuitive.

Anyone any ideas? On the pc side the ethernet has no router specified,
no dns specified, only the 1p address and subnet mask.

Remove "File and Printer Sharing" from the list of protocols for the
Wifi adapter on the PC.
