Hi,
I have a pecuiliar problem with windows98.When the system
boots I am not able to see the logon screen. The PC is
standalone with a NIC.
The effect is that my dialup password is never saved. While
I go to startup and click on logoff, i do see the logon
screen and i could save my password in the DUN.
why I donot get eh windows logon screen at the startup?

any help would be appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

A common cause of this type of problem is that your PC is set to log on
automatically, so open up REGEDIT.EXE and look at the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\
Network\Real Mode Net

If there is an "Autologon" setting there, delete it, then reboot the
computer and see if you can log on normally then.
