Windows hangs at logon

Running W2k server on a network with 5 clients; all are W2k as well. Running fine for several years. Starting yesterday everyone has begun having problems logging on; the computers hang at startup and may not logon for 35 minutes, if at all. Have tried shutting down completely; no affect. Have a firewall and run Symantec Corporate edition. Can anyone give me suggestions on what to do? Thanks, Amanda
