Hello,
I have a server installed in Windows Server 2008. This machine should
be used to do "event log subscription" on Windows 2003 servers to
collect logs from these servers and centralize them.
I did the "winrm quickconfig" on the 2008 server which worked fine.
When I do now the subscription and test it, I get an message that
WINRM client cannot complete the operation because the remote system
is not reachable.....

My question is now if it is possible to collect events from a Windows
2003 server(that my Windows 2008 machine collects the events from a
Windows 2003 client) via WinRM? If yes, what do I have to change on
the WIndows 2003 server to allow the Windows 2008 server to collect
the event log entries remotely?

Best regards
PR

Hello (E-Mail Removed),

Event log subscription is only available for Vista or server 2008, earlier
OS are not supported.
