You are severely limited with Win98FE/GOLD and only 16 megs of RAM.
It will NOT function well in the form you wish even IF you could get it to
work.

Present Wireless generally REQUIRES a minimum of Win98SE with 64 megs of
RAM and a Pentium 166/233 [and this for the most basic, clunky, and slow
connection] due to the drivers, and speed and size [web pages are filled
with pics and ADS] of the information being processed [a router indicates
you are attempting DSL or cable] for connection sharing, AND USB 2.0 or a
PCI card for the network connection [though you MIGHT be able to use an old
ISA combo network card IF its drivers supported TCP/IP packet driving].

If you intended to use the Win98SE computer [which you aren't, your trying
to use Win98FE/GOLD] as the Internet access point for sharing, then a
Pentium II and 128 megs of RAM would likely be the minimum recommended for
connection sharing, since it would be acting as the SERVER.

Beyond the router AND wireless, you would still be required to install a
firewall, anti-spyware, and anti-virus software on the connection server and
sub-connections, which requires more Ram, and processing power.

Simply stated, your attempting something beyond the actual abilities of
what you presented as the attempted system.
