On the start up of my computer,I have a display field
appearing prior to my desktop coming up which is
requesting:" Enter your network password for microsoft
networking". It appears in a box. I have had the computer
for three years and have not had this come up before. It
will go away if I close the box. I am not a part of a
network that I know of and no password is required. When I
close the box the screen goes blue for about 30 seconds and
then the desktop appears. How can I eliminate this
appearing. Thanks
Ron

>Got to networking in the control panel. Under the

configuration tab you will see a computer that says Client
for Microsot networking double click on it. If the box
for log on to windows nt domain is checked uncheck it if
not hit ok. then below your components ther is another
box called primary network logon hit the drop down box and
change it to windows log on. this will get rid of your
problem.
