Hey all,

I have a network that has a 2003 Small business server as
the primary domain controller, that hosts a mixed
environment of 98, 98se, 2000 pro, and xp pro. all
machines work great except the 98 machines will
mysteriously be "booted" from the network until you reboot.

after it reboots the network drives remap (using batch
file login scripts) and all is well. this happens like
once a day and is kicking my butt.

thanks

Dont know if this will help but try anyway. In the
network card config see if the tick box which says "Allow
device to wake up machine" (or something similar) is
checked. If it is un-check it as this device will swith
OFF when you are not using the machine to save power and
it wont recover the network connection, unlike XP and
2000.
Also change the power down settings in the screen saver
window to NEVER switch anything off.
Hope this helps
