Hi all,

Can anyone point me in the right direction to configure Windows 2008
networking so that it works like 2003? At the moment, I can't browse using
UNC to any of my servers and I'm not picking up any printers. Looking at the
network sharing configuration I have various services that are on and off!
Most confusing.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Hello Mike,

Is the server domain member or workgroup? Please post an unedited ipconfig
/all from the 2008 server and one 2003. How is DNS setup in your network?
Can you ping the other machine by IP address, machine name and FQDN?

Best regards

Can you ping each other? Do you receive a system error if using net view
command?
