Hello
I have three locations:
- (A) has 10 users
- (B) has one user
- (C) has one user
(A) has located the terminalserver an 10 users. They can access to the
terminalserver without any problems. (B) and (C) are connected by vpn routers
to (A). All worked well until mid of this week (of course we did not change
anything).(B) and (C) are not able to etablish a rdp conncection but they can
browse the file by shares on the same server where the terminal server is
located, print, connect port 80, port 3389 (they also get the correct
responses) and they can etablish successfully rdp connections to other
terminal server on the internet. So my question ist what is going wrong?
Regards,
Martin Schweizer

Hello James

The message is like no "connection is possible". But I checked the vpn
connection too and I see the the terminal server client open correctly the
tunnel. But I never get in touch with terminal server with ther terminal
server client (on all remote locations). Additional informations: for the
remote site we use different ISPs. It the proble related with MTU?

Regards,
Martin

I doubt its a problem with the MTU if the vpn works then the RDP connection
should workyou are definitely able to ping the server by name and ip??? Have
you checked terminal services manager on the server to make sure there aren't
still ols sessoins thta havent been closed?

As you can see above I can do all with ther server exept a remote terminal
session. Strange, I can telnet to 3389 on the terminal server and get an
answer (as exepted) but no terminal session is possible. We have enough
licenses on the server an no session is hanging.

Regards,
Martin
