Our outside clients currenly connect to a Windows 2000 sp4 server for VPN
access. These users can access all network resources by either host name or
IP address.
We just installed Windows 2003 standard on a different server and setup this
machine as a VPN server as well. When users connect via VPN to the Windows
2003 server and try to access a Windows 2000 SP4 file server they can only
see shared printers. They can ping the Win2000 machine no problem. They
also have no problem accessing the shared folders on the Windows 2003
server. Also, we run Exchange 2003 on a Windows 2003 box and users can
access mail regardless of wich VPN server they access.
Any help trying to figure this out would be greatly appreciated.
