Hi,

we have several Windows 2003 Server. They are up without any problems
since at least 6 month.

Since several weeks we have the following issue :
- Server is unable to respond to computers that are not inside is local
ip range

Server :
- Has 2 NIC, but only one is enabled. It has several ip, all on the
same ip class, with only one gateway.
- Server do not have the 2K3 firewall enable.
- On the local network (same ip class), the server is UP, IIS 6 working
normally, we can connect via Terminal server, everything is OK.
- The server can access the web
- The server can ping external computers
- External computers can ping the server

But :
- When an external computer perform IIS simple request (for example on
a basic GIF), IIS respond, but the client never get the response (there
is MinBytes error inside HTTPERR)
- When an external computer connect with terminal client, server
receive the request, but the client never get the response and
cannot connect.

Additionnal infos :
- No fordidden log at our firewall level
- No network error logs in windows event log
- This appears after the SP1 has been installed.
- We have found no fix at all.
- A reboot fix directly the problem.
- After a variable period (2/4 days), the problem occurs again.
- Our network has not been changed, so we clearly exclude networks
issues, it really seems to be a pure Windows problem, perhaps a SP1
issue.

If someone can helps, we are becoming totally mad.
Thanks a lot. Laurent.

It seems that this fix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898060/ )
correct the problem. For the moment, no more servers down after
installing it... I will repost here if the problem reappears, but for
the moment, everything is ok.
