Windows 2003 server

I am wanting to automate the renaming of the Network Connection Icon within
"Network Connections" i.e: "Local Area Connection" to "LAN 1" for example.
Is there a batch file i can create to do this or is there any other way this
can be done

you should try a vbs/wmi script.
