Please help a newbie finding his way!!! last month I did not have a net
work!!!! & I have never seen a server before, only windows 95,98,2000,XP etc

HP 6100 All-in-One + Epson Stylus Photo attached to the Windows 2003 Server
on the USB ports,
Print Server is Running & re-starting the "print spooling" has not made a
difference
Windows 2003 Server & 6 XP Pros, all are able to print except one, which was
able to print before.
I didn't think it would be a problem because this PC was due to be
re-installed today! However after installing a brand new copy of XP Pro SP 2
the problem remains. I have uninstalled the printer from the server &
reinstalled it again, the hp6100 disappears (from the office machine) when
un-installed & reappears when re-installed (set as default) yet I am unable
to print from the Office PC.. also it seams that I can not send E-Mails that
have attachments, & connections to other members of the Domain are jerky @
my network places

Permissions are unchanged & the user of the office machine is a member of
the domain users & admin etc
the printers are in published in the Active Directory

I can send a test e-mail from Outlook & it pops back in to the inbox almost
straight away but when I send an attachment, say a PDF or a jpg etc my mail
just sits in the out box & dose not send?

You should look at the error message sent back from the mail server. It's
quite likely that you are trying to send attachments that are too large or
the postmaster has restricted attachments in some other way. It could
also be a compatibility problem between your outlook configuration and the
server configuration.

You have to figure out where the job is getting stuck. Since all your
other clients are working fine I'd say there's nothing wrong on the
server. Is there anything stuck in the queue on the client?
%systemroot%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\?

See also <http://www.windowsitlibrary.com/Content/435/08/toc.html> for
some ideas.

The printer was just hanging, waiting for a responce from the server, which
neaver came..... No error messages,,, nothing!! tried new cables & NIC's

The problem turnd out to be a faulty Hub, would you believe !!! I was sure I
would looooooooooos my hair. The E-mail problem was also solved, what a
blessing!

Thank you for your time
