I'm not familiar with the use of option 82, but if I'm understanding your
question correctly, you are using port-based VLANs and have one subnet per
VLAN. You want clients to get the right IP address for the VLAN they're on.
If I'm interpreting your question correctly, you can almost certainly set a
bootp relay (RFC 1542) option on your layer 3 switch. This may also be
referred to as an IP helper. How you configure this will depend on your
switch, but on the HP ProCurve switches, it is the "ip helper-address"
command.
