Hello and g´morning,
my colleague tried to install a prinserver (via Hyper-V (W2k8)) - the though
behind it -> He wants to turnoff the old Printserver (green IT) ... anyway
- he is on leave and this morning I found myself in the situation that the
server wont be running and I do not have the credentials to access the hyperV
server ..... so I turned it off. We do have the old server still and I
turned it back on, BUT (W2k3) I cant connect to it ... what am I missing ?
I can ping it, but if I try to connect to it (via mamage my computer ->
connect to other computer .... it won t let me), also VNC is not possible!!!!
Do I have to hook it up again to the DC?

thx 4 our help

thx. I did that - worked fine.

Afterwards I found out that we turned the old server back up too fast. (I
didn t know that the virtual machine was an image of the old server BUT with
new SID - This is why I got a reject -> We took the old server back out of
the Domain and back into the domain and tata .... it worked (but I still didn
t get it as to why it allowed it to join the domain in the first place ....
and then come up with sympomatics like that ... ...)
