Hello everybody,
i have a windows 2003 server with 2 network interface cards and i'd like to
install network load balancing feature but i need some suggestions.

Suppose i'm in 192.168.1.0 subnet, and let's say i want to use 192.168.1.11
as cluster IP.

1- Do i have to enable network load balancing on both NICs?
2- How should i set IP addresses of NIC cards? I mena should i set
192.168.1.12 & .13 for dedicated IP and use .11 for cluster or what else?

thanks

Network load balancing is for balancing the load between different
machines, not different network cards.

Spreading the load over two network cards on one machine is NIC teaming.
It is not done through the operating system. It is done by the NIC drivers
and is only supported on NICs designed for the purpose.

For Proxy Servers that operate in a "proxy array". Proxys, by nature,
usually have two NICs. But the NLB is still focused on clustering two
machines, not two NICs. The Windows NLB is the same thing as "Server
Clustering", it is just a different name for the same thing.
