We have decided to built a single company IIS portal that
will host over 500 intranet/partner websites.
Strategically it made more sense for us to have each site
use its own IP adress for DNS and maximum firewall
routing/filtering flexibility and capability.

We can not locate any documentation confirming what the
maximum IP address limits are within Windows 2003 on a
single NIC. We forsee the total number of sites will be
increasing, so we may need to setup multiple NIC's
depending on this number.

Appreciating any help or direction where one could find
this info.

how are you binding more than 1 IP address to a single NIC? do you mean that
the NIC/webserver will have 1 private, internal address that will have
multiple public addresses forwarded to it?

Cant help you with the IP limit, but DO remember that icf only supports 1 ip per nic...

We just add the other IP's as secondary IP's to the
adapter's IP Advanced configuration, in the control panel
Networking section.
