I use third party s/w to backup the bkf created by Windows built in B/U
function to create a differential b/u, but the archive bit does not seem to
get set by a windows task that fires off the bkf. Has anyone run into this
and know a fix?

If the archive bit isn't set it is usually because the backup job doesn't
have rights to modify the file.

You can always add an attrib +a ... command to the script that runs
the backup and manually do it.

The named folder of backup would not do anything. I deleted the folder
backup and created a new folder named backup1 and now everything works fine.
