After connecting our W2003 Advance Server to our network
I had the following problem. I am not using the server
as a DHCP, I am connecting to a DSL Router with DHCP
enabled, I have the nic set up to automatic ip address
assignment by dhcp. As soon as I plug in the nic cable
to the Linksys dsl router I get a green light on the nic,
indicating connection. After a few moments I get an
error message on the server that the network cable is
unplugged. I tried a different cable and different nic.
Same results. Can someone help trouble shoot this
problem.
