I recently installed 2 windows 2000 computers in a network
where there is a windows 98 computer acting as a file
server in the peer to peer network. If I use a shortcut to
the shared folder on the windows 98 machine to open a word
document (which launches word)I am told the file is read
only. If I open the document from within Word it opens
correctly. Any idea what is causing the read only problem.
