PlusNet has no plans for a cap - they have added some capped versions
of their account which cost less, but their Premier account has no
cap and is under 22 quid a month. 24x7 0845 for sales + support.

What is the Zen newsgroup server like does it include binarys ?

I've been looking at either going with Zen at £28pm or Plusnet at £22pm

Yes.

We carry approx 1.2TB/day, and retention is currently 7 days for *bina*.

Dave.

I checked out Plus Net yesterday & their accounts are structured so that you
can chose a cap level or pay extra for a higher cap and pay even more for
uncapped ( which I think was about £7 extra/month.)

512k - 10x faster - Download a 5MB file in less than 2 minutes £14.99

1Mb - 20x faster - Download a 5MB file in less than 1 minute £23.99
2Mb - 40x faster - Download a 5MB file in less than 30 seconds £31.99

*** On top of these charges are £ 7/month for uncapped which they call
"Premier", so the equivalent of my current BTYahoo pacakge would cost me
£21.99 and that would be uncapped. Plusnet are currrently offering to move
your ADSL account to them for free.

Nildram are advertising their ADSL classic range as having No Caps.

Classic Broadband

dslSurf500 £22.99
dsl500 £25.99
dsl1000 £34.99
dsl2000 £44.99

One off set-up £58.75.
Always on, unlimited, fast Internet access. Use the phone while you surf,
block unwanted e-mails, anti-virus - ideal for families & SOHOS.

indicates product speed.

Anti-spam, and anti-virus
5 mailboxes
100Mb web space
Web mail
0845 dial access
NO download limit!

I was going to wait until BTYahoo introduce capping before I move, but it's
now probable that I will move when my 12 month BT contract is up in August.

There's plenty of choice !

I don't know how long the cheap/free transfer will apply for someone moving
to PN but if you want to give them a try (and the right hand details look
to be of interest, you could always click <http://tinyurl.com/24ymz> to
help me save from 0 to 50p a month (just kidding :-) Peter M

* I don't have the anti-spam, anti-virus option on my account but know a
few teething problems still exist... not been following it in detail.

Prodigynet are very good. I'm impressed. Fast and with good customer support.
