Win98SE fatal error while printing to network printer

I receive the dreaded blue screen with the error code:
fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:C02D197A in VXD
VREDIR(06) + 00006B3A while trying to print any document
from the Win98SE computer to the printer shared on the
WinXP computer upstairs. How do I prevent this blue
screen from popping up?

I have tried to find information on this error code, but
everything I have read says it is specific to the error
code and I have not found that EXACT number in anything I
have searched. Any help would be appreciated.

THis may or may not help.Try to uninstall printer program and then re
install program on win98SE.Check all settings.Especially look for priority
settings and make all the same if possible in your place,that way every
print job goes in order of who's first..
