I've been having a bothersome problem with certain windows 98
machines. Thanks in advance for any help.
Here is my dilemma: Our office domain consists of about 30 Windows
variety machines. The only Win2K server (DC) is setup to receive VPN
connections(pptp) and one of our remote sites is constantly connected
to it via DSL. The remote standalone machine is WinNT 4.0 and it's
machine name consists of only numbers (I'll call it 78787). Almost
every machine on the network can go to start\run and enter \\78787 or
can browse there one way or another. We have about 8 windows 98
machines but about 3 of them are unable to browse to the remote
machine. The one thing in common with those three machines it that
they were all fresh installs of 98SE. I think I must have forgotten
to install something critical, but I don't know what it is. All three
machine have DUN 1.4. I appreciate any help.
Thanks
Justin
