Win98 Server & XP Client?

Is it true Microsoft recommends that you do not use Win98
as a Server with an XP Client?

Can you install XP on a Pentium II with 64meg RAM?

Windows 98 used as a "server" has only a limited number of client
connections available, I believe ten is the maximum. So no, it does not
make much of a server.

No.

Maybe. However, it would install with a reduced feature set and would
probably run so slowly that it would be unusable. See this web page:

That depends on what you mean by "server". If it's going to be a local file
storage device (kinda like a big hard drive on the network) that would
probably be fine. But if it's going to be used to serve applications or
large amounts of data, or will be in constant use, then I'd recommend using
a real server operating system instead of Windows 98.
