Win98 SE DNS Issue

I have an internal network setup and each machine can
access each other and the internet except my Win98 SE
machine. It can resolve internal machines without a
problem, but it cannot resolve external (internet)
addresses at all. It can ping an external address.

It used to be able to access the internet before I removed
a number of adware programs. Does anybody know how to
resolve this problem without using format c:?
