How are you trying to connect the printer on the laptops? What type
of access error do you get? What is the complete and exact text of
the error message?
Does your network use more than one protocol? That's likely to cause
problems, especially when XP is involved. Unless you have a specific
need for another protocol, un-install everything but TCP/IP on all of
the computers.
