you could try and disable 'computer browser' on all but one computer (the
one thats on the most)
From network neighborhood properties select File & print sharing, select and
click properties then select "Master Browser" from the right list and choose
disabled from the left list.
might take up to 15min after network is running for the browser selection to
take place
