Win98 Networking Configuration

I wish to network three Windows 98 PCs and I'm considering using the DLink
DI-704P router/print server and the DLink DSM-602H (or 604H) NAS. I made a
diagram and uploaded it to the following address, does this look like a good
solution?

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/crashingwaves/misp/nw.htm

I would rather go wireless for the two remote PCs (PC2 and PC3) but I'm not
sure I trust it for reliability. The PCs will be spaced about 20-40 feet
apart in separate rooms of an office building (all on the same floor). If a
wired solution is clearly superior than I'll stick with that but I'm open to
suggestions for brands and models other than D-Link. If wireless is just as
reliable then hardware recommendations for that are welcomed too. TIA

Diagram looks fine to me.

Wired will, for the immediate future, always have one advantage over
wireless - speed. Current wireless devices are slower than wired and have
more overhead in the protocols used to transmit and receive data. It is
said this will change when the 802.11n standard is approved and equipment
released but that may be over a year away.

As for reliability - that depends on what is between the equipment in
question. A lead-lined wall would bode poorly for wireless access. :-)

Thanks for your reply. Any opinion about D-Link hardware?

Lots of folks like D-Link and buy it. My personal favorites are Linksys and
Motorola but since they both use industry-standard chipsets (like D-Link)
it's almost to the point that the only difference between the decent brands
is the color of the plastic on the outside of the device and the banner on
the Web/configuration interface. :-)
