Not being able to browse the network will not prevent you from being able to
share folders and printers. Try this simple test - start up and (if
necessary) log onto every computer on your network, then walk away from the
computers and do something else for at least 15 minutes. If, on your
return, you can browse the network your problem is simply the wait for the
network to elect a browse master.
