i'm using DCC over a parallel cable to communicate between a multiboot
machine and one running windows 2000 server. when i run xp on the multiboot
and connect using DCC i can leave the link up indefinitely without any
traffic (at least none that i generate). when i boot into windows 98 and try
the same experiment the connection drops after a short but variable length
of time on the order of minutes. i can keep it up with a perpetual ping to
the remote (server) end of the DCC connection. any idea why this would be?
thanks
