I have a client with a new Win2K Server on SP4. Active
Directory, single domain, primary DNS, no WINS, DHCP. The
clients are all Windows 98, except for one, which is
Windows 2000. The Windows 2000 workstation logs on fine.
The Windows 98 workstations are intermittently denied
access to the domain. Re-booting fixes the problem. The
error message is "The domain password you supplied is not
correct, or access to your logon server has been denied".
DNS host records are being registered by DHCP with no
problem. Netlogon.log has the following error
message "02/06 16:55:35 [CRITICAL] Ping from DELL for
domain DELL.dino.local (null) for (null) on <Local> is
invalid since we don't host the named domain.". Server
and clients have NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled. Any ideas?
