It may be a problem with forced SMB signing or other security settings in
the Local Security Policy of the server. You can disable it by using
secpol.msc to open Local Security Policy and go to security settings/local
policies/security options. Find the option for Microsoft network
server:digitally sign communications(always) and set it to disabled. There
may be other security options that need to be tweaked, particularly for the
ones that involve anonymous access and lan manager authentication level
especially if you have changed any of them directly from default or applied
a security template. --- Steve
