Win2k3sp1 DHCP Reservations go RED

One of our 25 scopes is having an issue where if we create a new reservation
and refresh (whether from the server or a workstation) the Address Leases and
Reservations will get a red X and not display. This happens on both the local
server or a remote workstation using the DHCP snap-in:
When trying to see leases with MMC: "snap-in failed to initialize".
When trying to see reservations with MMC: nothing happens, a red cross is
displayed.
When doing a netsh dump of the server in this state: it doesn't list any
reservations for the scope.

I've done the following:
-Restored the subnet from a Netsh dump; adding a new reservation triggers
the 'corruption' again.
-Used Jetpack to compress the original database; still no joy on adding a
new reservation to that subnet.
-Stopped the DHCP server, moved all files from Windows\sys32\dhcp to another
folder on the server, Restarted DHCP to recreate the database from scratch.
I then netsh exec a backup dump in and the same error reappears when adding a
new reservation on that subnet.
-Done the above but manually created the scope in question and readded all
the entries by NETSH (and by hand in another scenario) and still no joy.

I'm out of ideas. Any thoughts?

It turns out there was a hotfix available for my problem.
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;902954
support article 902954 in case the link doesn't work.
