Hi,

I have a vpn that I did setup and when I connect to this VPN all my
internet traffic automatically passes through it.

Is there a way to avoid this from happening? I want that the local gateway
is used to access the internet and the VPN connection only for the range
that is set in it.

Thanks

When the "Use Gateway on remote network" option is enabled in the
client-side VPN Dial-up settings the VPN link becomes the Default Gateway
for the machine until the VPN is disconnected. To route Internet traffic
machine around the VPN and go straight out instead then un-check this
option. Some third-party VPN software will not allow you to do this
"split-tunneling" as it is considered a security risk for the corporate
network.

Hi,
I do not have this option in the connection properties. I use WinXP sp2
VPN connection to connect to the server (which is a 2k3).

Can you point me where i can find this option. Thanks (that would do exactly
what i want)

I think you do. On the client's VPN connection, go to Properties, TCP/IP
properties, Advanced, General page.
