Win2k3 RRAS Service not starting - now lost network

I was messing around on my small office network's Win2k3 server - wanted to
test a Remote Access / VPN setup. Using the Configure Your Server wizards I
tried to have it setup RRAS but it failed trying to start the RemoteAccess
service.

"Windows could not start the Routing and Remote Access on Local Computer.
.... service-specific error code 273"

Could not find any reference to error 273.

I then tried to back it out - using the wizard again, I removed Remote
Access. Now, my server can't see any computers (Network Places) other than
itself. And none of the computers can see it (network places). I can ping
the server using its ip address, but not by its name. I can see and access
the server's share's using an IP address (\\192.168.1.100), but not by its
computer name.

What did I do wrong here???? And better, how can I fix this?

Sometimes that ends badly ;-)

From a command prompt window do "IPCONFIG /All" and past the full results in
your next reply.

Go in the:
Properties of Network Places-->Advanced [top menu]-->then Advanced
Settings...[dropdown menu]-->look in the upper Dialog box, make sure the LAN
Nic is still the first at the top of the list,..if not, use the arrows on
the side to move it to the top. "[Remote Access Connections]" should be
last.
