I can't find the forum specifically for this but... I am getting 2003
standard server setup to take over as my domain controller. One of my
remaining issues is happening after I configure the server as a domain
controller. I am not currently using RRAS, only the standard incoming
connections for VPN dial-in clients. My problem is the "show status icon in
the system notification area", i.e system tray, does not stay checked. I've
checked the "hide inactive icons in task bar properties", and the icon for
this does not appear as an option to hide or show. So far, this only comes
up after the domain controller has been installed. I have also tried setting
a value in the registry from 0 to 1 which is controlled by the check box
option, but has no affect.
What I am ultimately trying to accomplish is being able to see an icon for
my inbound caller in my notification area. This problem has been driving me
to the point were I have done several re installs to eliminate any software
conflicts. Please help, I really want to keep 2003.
