win2k3 and XP file share

I have one win2k3 machine and one winXP machine
connected to the same router
I try to set up a network so that both machine can share files
I could access winXP machine thought win2k3 machine
however, when I try to access win2k3 machine from XP machine
it asked me to entered user name and password.
I have enabled anonymous logon and setup some users accounts in win2k3
machine
share folders, but still doesn't work
does anyone knows why?
