win2k - win3k ICS established, but...

Hello everyone,

Trying to establish Internet Connection Sharing between win2k (installed on
my laptop) and win3k server. My loptop has a modem which I use to connect to
Internet. I established ICS but win3k 'sometimes' (5% hits) connects to
Internet.

What I must tell also is that win3k shares dekstop, that is, win3k is the
terminal server and I can see it within my loptop' s screen.

Everthing looks fine but it (win3k) still does not connect to Internet. I
tried many things (such as reading policy files).

Please help.

I would not even attempt to do this. Is your server a domain
controller? Does it have a fixed IP address? Is it running DNS? If any of
these apply, ICS is not compatible.

ICS is a simple sharing device which "takes over" the client, resetting
its IP, default gateway and DNS settings. It is not suitable for a server as
a client.
