We have three DC (DC1, DC2 and DC3) All are Global Catalog's. DC3 is well connected via P to P T1 whie DC1 and DC2 are on the same switch as Exchange. Our Domain is windows 2000 Native and Exchange is running in Native mode also. Very stable environment fo rthe past 9 months. All servers are current for service packs

Yesterday our T1 went down connection to DC3 was dropped and Exchnage went down. On attempted restart there were various messages about no name for the MTA. Finally I saw soemthing that indicated that Exchange could not contact a Global Catalog server. I finally used AD Sites and Services to manually replicate and restarted Exchange - It worked. reviewing the log it stated that Exchnage would now use DC1 and DC2 for services

Question: How can I control what Exchnage looks at for GC information? How can I review its current settings for GC. How can I monitor GC/Ad so that I know all servers are functioning

I have cross-posted to microsoft.public.exchange2000.genera

Thanks for any help you can provide
