Hi,

I am new to networking. I have 2 machines one is Win XP other is Fedora
Core 1. The 2 machines are connected using cross over cable.
I have set up samba on on FC1 machine.
Some problems that I have encountered is
1) FC1 machine is able to ping the WinXP machine but when I try to ping
from WinXP it results in request time out.
2) When I do findsmb on FC1 machine it just shows shared folder of FC1
machine and not the WinXP m/c sam is the case with nautilus.
With nautilus if I try to use smb:///WinXP/ShareName it gives couldnot
contact server.

Plz help
Pranjal
