"A duplicate name exists on the network". I've looked at networks and
printers and found nothing. Where do I look and for what?

Thanks for the lead but there is no WINS file in my Administrative Tools.
What am I missing (other than the WINS file?)

WINS is a service that provides NetBIOS name to address resolution. Where
did you first see the error? Try turning off this computer then ping by name
from another machine. This may help you find it.

I get this error on boot up but your suggestion is at least one pay grade
above me. Can you give me a reference or instructions on how to ping?

Thanks. I either scared it away or it was caused by interferrence from
another wifi network because it's ok now.
