I have a home wireless network with 3 computers running ME
attached. 2 are attached using wireless connections and
the 3rd is hardwired to the router. I also connect to this
network with a Win2000 laptop, again using a wireless card.
This was all set up and worked great for several months. I
was able to access files and printers attached to the ME
computers from my 2000 laptop.
However, recently I have not been able to either print or
access files on the ME computers from my 2000 laptop. I
can see the ME computer in an explorer window, but when I
try to access it (by double clicking on the computer name)
I get a pop up window with the message
"\\MEcomputer is not accessible.
There are currently no logon servers available to service
the logon request"
I can still access this ME computer from the other ME
computers.
I don't know of any changes to the ME computers (other
than doing the Windows Updates as they are available.
I use the laptop at work, so it is attached to our in-
house network. We recently migrated from a dual
Microsoft / Novell network to a Microsoft only network, so
the Novell client was removed.
Can anyone tell me what the error message above means?
Also, is the issue on the ME end or the 2000 end?
Thanks in advance for the help.
