I have a home PC (A) with Windows XP, using a workgroup. A second PC (B)
has Win 98SE, the workgroup is set, and it uses Client for Microsoft
Networks to connect to an office network. The office network uses a domain.
All PC's are connected using straight through cables through a router. I
have enabled drive sharing. I have set the workgroup name to the same name
on both PC A and B, but I have not been able to make the PC's see each
other. Is it possible to connect PC A and B together via wired ethernet and
still maintain the connection between the office network and the Win 98
machine? I need to transfer a large data file, and I need to do it via a
wired network connection. The data is too large to fit on a CDR, or other
removeable media I have access to.

Any alternative ideas for tranferring the data are welcome as well.

Thanks for your input.
