The dial-up attempt could be because a computer on the network is
trying to do a DNS lookup and its DNS server is on the Internet.
I'm not sure why printing would do a DNS lookup. Does the LPR Spooler
have an IP address and a name? If so, put them in the Hosts file on
each computer.
Since the network uses NetBEUI, un-binding sharing from TCP/IP on all
computers might fix the problem, too. Go to Control Panel | Network |
TCP/IP->network adapter | Properties | Bindings and un-check all of
the boxes.
